About The Affordable Art Fair

First launched in Battersea Park in 1999 by Will Ramsay, the objective of The Affordable Art Fair (AAF) was to make contemporary art accessible by concentrating on relatively unknown artists who offer their work at very affordable prices.

Since then, over 800,000 people have attended fairs held in 5 cities, buying over USD195 million worth of art. About The Affordable Art Fair Singapore Singapore was host to the first Asian edition of AAF in 2010 and featured over 50 galleries from 17 countries and showcased artwork priced between SGD100 and SGD10,000.

The 3-day event attracted over 9,000 visitors, generating over SGD1.7 million worth of sales. AAF 2011 will be held 17 - 20 November at the F1 Pit Building. Over 65 galleries from 20 countries will be participating.

The objectives of 2011 are:

1. Leverage on AAF 2010’s success and aim to attract 12,000 people.

2. To reinforce to the local market that one does not have to be a millionaire to appreciate and purchase art. ART IS AFFORDABLE!

3. To position AAF as more than just an art fair by engaging audiences in deeper and more engaging activities.

4. To create more buzz in the local market for the arts and, in line with NAC’s mission, to nurture the arts and make it an integral part of the lives of people in Singapore.
