Bertil Petersson intervjuas av Eva Sternäng i Kvällsposten, 23 februari 2009

Hi There!
Bertil Petersson, 53, artist from Malmo exhibits in Singapore.
ES: Have you made a new painting again?
BP: Absolutely, that is what I do all the time.
ES: What are you exhibiting at Eight Art Gallery, Singapore?
BP: I will show close to 20 paintings where some are very large. The largest is 240 by 200 cm and actually the largest I have made. Naturally, a few Zebras…
ES: Why are you repeatedly painting African animals?
BP: Because I lived in Tanzania for over one year and became very fascinated by them. I have done a few giraffes, leopards, baboons, and other animals as well.
ES: So now you are aiming at a career in Asia as well?
BP: Perhaps that will happen. I look forward to it and the Swedish Ambassador Par Ahlberger will be the guest of Honor at the opening. If everything goes well the exhibition may travel to China and South Korea as well.
ES: Have you had exhibitions in other countries before?
BP: Yes, both in Toulouse, France, and Dusseldorf in Germany and it was selling very well.
ES: Do you think they like Zebras in Singapore?
BP: I will find out because I plan to spend a whole week there. One must take a chance.
